Menu

Administrators of Leica Spider Business Center have the chance to add customized menu entries via the Settings > Menu page of the Administrator portal. Custom menu entries give access to specific URL which are considered important by the Administrator who, then, wants to provide access to such URLs directly on SBC.

The Menu page allows to visualize, edit, re-order the already existing customized menu items, and to add new ones.

When clicking on the icon located on the top right of the page, a new customized menu entry can be configured by the Administrator. A URL and the corresponding label (label visualized in the menu in correspondence of this new item) are needed.

Administrator can choose:

• whether the newly configured menu item is visible (Published) or hidden;
• if they want the new item to be displayed in the side navigation menu of SBC, or in its footer, or in both places;
• what privileges can see and use this menu item;
• whether the page corresponding to the URL should be visualized in another tab of the browser or embedded in SBC;
• an icon to accompany the menu item label, in case this is to be displayed in the side navigation menu. If an icon is selected and the footer is chosen as location, icon will not be displayed.

In addition to SBC Administrators, also Support Viewers have access to the Menu page, but only to visualize the list of available custom menu entries. No editing is allowed for Support Viewers.
