Languages

The SBC distribution installs all languages that are available at the time of release. The SBC components User Interface, E-mail templates and online help can be translated to any preferred language. Default language at start-up is the Web browser default language. If the default language is not supported by SBC, the next language will be selected according to section System – General: Default language.

The possible localization language settings in the SBC are:

Type Description
Private or Preferred Language The language that is explicitly set for an individual User is a called private language. It is applied for all private pages where authentication is required to access them, and where the Web browser default language is not supported by SBC.
Default language The default language that is configured by the Administrator for all public pages like Login, Sign Up, Forgotten Password where no authentication is required to access them. It will be selected if the Web browser default language is not supported by SBC.
Fallback language The language that is set automatically as fallback when private or default language is not available on the system.

Set up Default language

Step Action
1 Login with valid Administrator credentials.
2 Navigate to Home > Settings > Preferences > General tab.
3 Choose a language from the list available under Default language.
4 Press Save button to save your settings. The default language is applied to the public pages.

Set up Private language

The private language can be set by user at time of registration or under User Profile for registered SBC users.

Step Action
1 Login with valid User credentials.
2 Navigate to Home > Account Details > User Profile > Details tab.
3 Choose a language from the list available under Language.
4 Press Save button to save your settings. The private language is applied to the User private pages. Requires Re-Login.
